I am an avid writer of poetry and want to share a piece called : LAST NIGHT I CRIED

All day long I functioned just as I was expected to.
No one ever knew that I was painfully missing you.
I'm sad and agonize every second. Please lets not break up.
How would I get along, without your warm and soothing touch.
We had a love I thought was strong. Even thought it couldn't bend.
But now realities before my eyes, and our love is at an end.
I wonder would it do any good to beg you to come back ?
Or explain to my heart you're gone. So accept this as a fact.
I still want you. Can't you see that ? Its hard knowing you are gone.
Really painful living without you. I'll suffer but carry on.
The passionate kisses I've always craved, are now just taken away.
Can you at least explain to me, why your heart went astray ?
I certainly don't want to start over. I was happy with what we had.
That's why I cry every night, because I'm missing you so bad !

Sometimes overwhelming

Busy ! Whose not ? Quick lesson. Some authors get goose bumps when they finish writing their books as they very well should. But the cake ain't good without the icing. The icing is the promoting and marketing. This process can be overwhelming to say the very least. There will days you will want to slam that book up against the wall when you discover that people aren't knocking your door down to purchase it. Some say get organized and come up with a plan to make sales happen. I say that's good sound advice, but in my opinion the best advice is to surround yourself with pioneers in the field or grow with a newbie. Because there will be times that after bumping your head up against the wall that all you can relate to is the word, OUCH ! If you go it alone and you are the type that gets frustrated easily YOUR DREAM CAN TURN INTO A NIGHTMARE. There are no quick fixes. Hard work and dedication sells books. Follow my blog and lets exchange ideas about what works and don't work. There is an enormous amount of work involved and not a minute to waste. BEST SELLERS AREN'T PACKED AWAY IN BOXES !
